How do you put pics within a post?
Like say i wanted to put a cool pic here: <cool pic>
How would i do it?

1. Load it into your photobucket account
and then post the link into your post (the http link in photobucket works)

2. First, you need to get them on the internet so you can put them in a post.
Here's how.

Find the photo that you want to show us, and put it on your computer's desk top.

Then go to www.photobucket.com and create an account. It's free and takes maybe 2 minutes to do.

Next, go to your photobucket "photo album." You should see a box that says "upload new photo"...hit the browse button there, and look on your desktop for the photo you want to post. Click on it, and then click on the "upload/submit" button beneath it on the photobucket page.

Once the photo is uploaded, you can copy the url from the photobucket page and paste it into a post in the message window at DU.

And that's all there is to it. :D

Kids I met in the West Bank.

Now for my advanced class... How best to choose to put the text along with the image (like beside it or under it) Can i manipulate it like that?

6. do you mean your OWN pic or a pic off the 'Net?
because pics off the web can be handled much more easily

8. for pix on the web:
just right-click the pic and go down to "properties". A box will pop up and look for "image location". Copy that URL into your post.
