2. Went to the hearing this week
Just got a letter telling us we had too much money in our account. Only thing is, every cent is accounted for as I pay all bills online. Bankruptcy court is always looking for extra cash or assets. that's how they get paid, they collect an percentage.
So, it's back to the lawyers to explain why we have $$ in our account which isn't really ours because it's been scheduled to pay bills over the month.

They really want to destitute people.

3. I miss the good ol' days...
where the same people wanted us to be in debt because it ensured a lower turnover rate and productivity up.

5. No shit.
What gets me is how millionaires can file bankruptcy and still keep their assets. Here in Florida, they really tighten the screws about assets. I got nothin, but they want that too.

4. I take it this is a post-bankruptcy matter....
not a bankruptcy filing.

7. Chapter 13... You, I take it, are paying back some of your debt...
I went through Chapter 7 a few years back and the experience wasn't that bad.... But then again, we had little equity in our home so the decision was easy...
