Christian Organization Invaded By Condom-Wearing Protesters
:rofl:

<snip>

WASHINGTON -- A dozen AIDS activists have been arrested after invading a Christian organization's Washington headquarters and chaining themselves to objects in the lobby.

A witness said the protesters wore "body condoms" and protested the Family Research Council's support for abstinence education, which FRC president Tony Perkins said is "based on indisputable science and on timeless Judeo-Christian teaching."

On the FRC's Web site, Perkins asks, "Will your church or para-church organization be invaded next?"

Later Monday, 29 AIDS protesters were arrested for staging a "die-in" on the sidewalk outside the White House. About 150 people stood nearby chanting, "Bush is a jerk, condoms work."

5. I always thought that
Para Church organizations are elite squads of hardcore fundies that can parachute into any situation where "teh gay" is detected at a moment's notice.

Radicals Invade FRC!

The same radical group that last week disrupted a Baltimore speech by Claude Allen, today struck at Family Research Council's Washington headquarters. Allen, who is President Bush's Domestic Policy Advisor, was speaking at a national abstinence education conference sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This morning, between fifteen and twenty radicals entered FRC's building carrying placards, chanting anti-abstinence slogans, and demanding condom distribution. The protesters, including some from the violent homosexual group ACT-UP, chained themselves to a statue of an American eagle in the FRC lobby. The group that invaded FRC's private property disrupted work, defied orders to disperse, and seemed to invite arrest by the D.C. police.

The radicals honed in on statements I have made against homosexual sexual activity and drug needle distribution. "Hateful!" "Ignorant!" That's how these radicals characterized my statements. This is not debate. This is not democracy. What we see is the attempt by a radical few to intimidate, to shout down, to forcibly prevent the expression of any ideas they disagree with. It does not matter that these ideas are based on indisputable science and on timeless Judeo-Christian teaching. Is this the future of freedom in America? Will your church or para-church organization be invaded next? Will your business be targeted by radicals because you support abstinence? We will not give in to fear.

6. I can say from experience that
abstinense education doesn't work. It just tends to make people not know some important things they should know, like how to put a condom on.

7. "Judeo-Christian"?
I've never met a right-wing Jew. It's always conservative CHRISTIANS. Why do they try to blame their bullshit ideas on our religion?

8. Vows of abstinance break more easily than condoms
Yeah for the protesters!

Family Research Council's support for abstinence education, which FRC president Tony Perkins said is "based on indisputable science and on timeless Judeo-Christian teaching."

So which is it Tony? because "indisputable science" and "timeless Judeo-Christain teaching" are diametrically opposed.
