1. You mean, if you were a bad one,
You wouldn't have gotten it? Hmmm.....

Are you going to show up? That's when they REALLY find out how good you are!

I'll bet you will......:loveya:

4. I go on November 15th....for three years I've been filling out the little
cards they mail to you under penalty of law if you don't fill them out. For three years I've filled them out. This time I got nailed. :hi:

7. Ewwwww....We go one day, if there's a trial, we might get picked.
If there's not, we get to go home. It's only one day, so I am crossing my fingers that there is 1. neither a trial or 2. if there is a trial, that I'm not what either side is looking for. :hi:

10. Yeah, that's what we have.
I was called the first day along with the rest of the panel. Then they added two more panels of prospective jurors, but we're still going through the whole process of picking the final jury, which might happen Monday (my fifth day there). I swear, actual trials have finished in the time we've already wasted.

And the judge is a major fascist. He didn't excuse me, even though I could prove an extreme financial hardship, since the trial will last almost a month, at the very least. He also didn't excuse a very sick man who walks with a cane and visits the doctor three times a week, yet he did excuse a perfectly healthy actor who said he MIGHT have some prospective jobs around the corner. Yet, people with constant, regular jobs got screwed.

I figured I have a 33% chance of being selected for the final jury, so I'm crossing my fingers. Fuck "civic duty."

16. I got out of a drug trial.
The attornies asked if any of us thought drugs should be legalized. I raised my hand. I was the only one. Dismissed! Out in the hall, an elderly woman said to me, "You're right young man. Prohibition doesn't work." I wanted to buy her a drink.
