Since only a small portion of the Federal revenue comes from the bottom third of earners, wouldn't this eliminate your concern?

Then add the dissolution of most loopholes and exemptions and the revenue from the richest 10% goes UP, even while the tax brackets are LOWERED.

A well crafted Flat Tax, which removes the burden from the poor / low-income earners, levels the tax rate for all, removes many of the methods of tax avoidance used my high-income people would actually generate even more total revenue than our current system, and should be something we ALL clammor for.

We REALLY shouldn't be screaming 'RAISE taxes!', Election Year or Not.
