3. Only an engineer would have a recipe with a heat sink in it.
Did you add any special ingredients to your recipe?

5. Nope.
Just the chocolate, sweetened condensed milk and butter. I forgot to buy nuts at the store, or I'd have added them.

11. I'm saddened....
By the fact that you don't have any nuts.

Fudge has always been easy:

3 cups sugar

3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter or margarine

1 small can (5 oz.) evaporated milk (about 2/3 cup)

1-1/2 pkg. (12 squares) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, chopped or 1 pkg semi-sweet chips

1 jar (7 oz.) JET-PUFFED Marshmallow Creme

1 cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts

1 tsp. vanilla

LINE 9-inch square pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan; set aside. Place sugar, butter and evaporated milk in large heavy saucepan. Bring to full rolling boil on medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil 4 min. or until candy thermometer reaches 234°F, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Remove from heat.

ADD chocolate and marshmallow creme; stir until completely melted. Add walnuts and vanilla; mix well.

POUR immediately into prepared pan; spread to evenly cover bottom of pan. Cool at room temperature at least 4 hours; cut into 8 (1-inch) squares. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.

Really, I do get a kick out of the Cooking For Engineers site. Hope it turns out yummy for you! :hi:

(Edited because link not working.)

13. I love that site.
I've made that fudge, too -- once I made it with semi-sweet chocolate chips (some local brand), and added some mini-marshmallows and crushed graham crackers.

I've also done it with Nestle's half peanut butter, half milk chocolate morsels.

16. Since you've joined the ranks of college students everywhere,
you might want to consider special batches of homemade fudge as a quick and inexpensive way to fulfill some of your holiday gift giving.
