just made it home

took awhile.

took amtrak from normal, il to longview texas and someone from my job got me from lufkin.

screen door shattered, glass everywhere, mold, but otherwise structurally intact.

lights/cable/internet all up which is awesome.

nothing stolen or anything, but i am alone here till saturday to hold down the fort.

the area took a big hit.

4. cat is still in peoria

was afraid i'd have to hitch from houston to beaumont, but i got through to the job and they sent someone to get me from somewhere in east texas.

my sister and her ex-husband are bringing the cats with them friday.

the upshot is that i have a colony of strays (a lot with collars) that must have rode the storm out.

i fed them earlier, so i think i have a new fan club.

Maybe the owners of your strays will call kitty-kitty and most of them will go back home soon.
