Are questions going to be answered on Lost?

I have a feeling we'll find out all about the others and possibly (hopefully) finally find out what's the deal with desmond. Of course along the way we'll get another dozen questions to ponder.

According to the writers we will find out;

Who the man in the hatch is(not just his name and that he knows Jack , how he got there, and what he is doing there.

They have said since before the season began that number three would be the one with the big revelations.

I am ready to find out more about Locke and Walt and Hurley.
We still don't know why Locke was in the chair do we?

Of course, something will happen that will make us ask even more questions. It always does.

8. I think tonight is also when we meet the other survivors.

Those people heading toward Michael, Sawyer and Jin at the end of last week's episode are probably not the Others with a capital "O", but the other survivors, the ones who were in the tail section of the plane. From what the creators have said, we're going to find out that this group didn't have it quite as easy as the group we've come to know and love, so they've reverted to a more savage, dangerous state.

He is the one character who they must not kill off. Maybe in the last show he could give his life to save everyone else but even that would be a bummer.
