I made pie.
There is a delicious-smelling homemade pear pie cooling on my counter right now.

I've just brewed a pot of decaf hazelnut coffee.

Does anyone want to come over?

3. Cinnamon and/or nutmeg.
The recipe says one or the other; I used both, and I usually do.

It's a two-crust pie similar to apple pie - about six cups sliced firm pears, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp nutmeg, 2 tablespoons flour. Fill the bottom crust, dot filling with butter, put on top crust, cut a couple of slits, and bake for 35-45 minutes at 425. I also sprinkled cinnamon sugar on the top crust before baking.

12. I've never tried pear pie but it sounds great
Peach cobbler made with sweet Georgia peaches is my all-time favorite. I'll have to try pear but I guess I'll have to make it myself as I've never seen any sold anywhere.
