Should I panic yet?
I had an interview yesterday for a really great job that im hoping to get, they said they were going to send me a technical test yesterday after the interview, and that I needed to send them a sample of my work...which i did right after I got home. Well its now friday night, I never recieved the test or even a reply from them. I'm beginning to think they're not gonna get in touch with me...I'm hoping they're on vacation or something....

Ugh! I hate job hunting!

1. deep breath
Let me clarify here? Did they say they were going to send it yesterday? Or did they tell you, that they were going to send it without specifying *when*. Specifically what did they say.

Regardless, if you don't get it, call mid-to late Monday morning and say you calling to verify that they had received your sample and to see if there was a problem sending the test to you. (Email addy's are notorious for being entered wrong, doncha know?) Oh, and don't forget to thank them for the opportunity to interview for the job and tell them you are interested.

2. well i can't recall if they specifically said when they were sending it
but the impression I got was that it would be there yesterday. I'll follow up mid-monday to make sure everythings ok, but im worried...I really need the job, and thought i did a good interview.

4. Just relax over the weekend.
It does no good to worry endlessly for the next two days and get yourself all worked up. :)

People get busy and don't do what they're supposed to do when they say they are. Accidents happen. 'puters crash. Emails go astray. Just don't automatically think the worst. Think positive thoughts and try to have a good weekend. It'll be okay in the long run no matter what happens with this particular job.

3. It's too early to sweat it.
I'd do as the other poster suggested and call on Monday to confirm they got the sample (it's always good to touch base, anyway.)

Hold on to optimism for now. There will be plenty of time to feel bad later if it doesn't work out, but for now just feel good about a positive interview!

:)
