I hate extroverts
Go do the Myers-Briggs thing if you don't know what I'm talking about.

I was workin' a bingo last night and got huge blisters (mostly because of bad boots) because the extroverts were standing around yakkin' or would stop to blab with each customer which the introverts ran around and did all the work.

Don't you guys ever shut up?

1. Introverts can be "blabbers" too
Edited on Sun Nov-09-03 04:09 AM by Maine Mary
but just not in public. Get me in a place where I feel comfortable w/the people around me and I won't shut up. :-)

But I know what you mean, extroverts are to busy having fun to do what needs to be done.

On edit: put an extra -o- in the word "to". Heaven forbid I make such a nasty gramatical error- introverts have weird "issues" like these.

2. At least we understand there's a time and a place
It seems they just can't shut up.

Same with the ones in the audience. The bingo caller's doing the numbers and people are blabbin' so loud others can't hear.

6. There are some people...
who are deathly afraid of silence.

The world will come to an end if everyone shuts up for more than a minute or so, so they have their duty to save it.

Ever been in a car with a motormouth and try to listen to the radio?

9. I call it
"locked on transmit." Hate it especially at meetings when one of these types gets the floor. My theory is that it is a form of dominance practised by narcissitic types.

10. Yes, extroverts are kind of annoying...
and it never ceases to amaze me how they can talk so much and yet say so little.

12. As an introvert, sometimes I talk a lot
I talk a lot to people who I am already comfortable with. I have a hard time talking to strangers unless they are engaging me in a meaningful conversation.

13. I appreciate the extroverts filling up the conversation gaps--
that's less socializing I get sucked into. Bah. Humbug.

14. I'm an introvert who talks to strangers.
I think strangers are alot easier to talk to than people I know; alot less is "assumed", so I feel alot freer to open up.
