5. Great band. I saw them once...
At Irving Plaza in NYC. They came back about a half hour after their last encore and played a 45 minute acoustic set. A great night.

I doubt there is enough money in the world to get them to re-form, the hatred is so deep, unfortunately. I still have all their vinyl too, including a bunch of singles with weird bsides.

9. Part of the 80's College Radio Trinity
along w/ The Replacements and R.E.M. ( and you can fit The Minutemen in there, too); starting w/ Metal Circus, put out brilliant record after brilliant record.

Everybody always says "Zen Arcade" as their favorite album, but I love "New Day Rising". "Celebrated Summer" will always be my favorite song of theirs...

14. I never got into them in a big way
until "3-Way Tie For Last" came out, and of course, D. Boon died right afterwards. What a loss.

17. I agree...New Day Rising
It's hard to pick just one, but every song on NDR is killer. Not a weak song anywhere. I just saw a short interview with Grant Hart, and man, is he BITTER toward Mould. Who evidently deserves it. At one point he told Hart, this is MY band and FUCK your songs, this ain't a democracy so shut the fuck up.

Kinda hard to forgive that shit. Although Mascis did similar stuff in Dinosaur, and Iggy cut the Ashtons out of all songwriting at the end, so it isn't exactly unprecedented for people to be assholes over songwriting royalties.

19. Re: Mould and Hart
you must take it with a grain of salt.

You must remember that there is still a lot of bitterness still burning.

There is no doubt that there is much to the story that has not been written.

Nevertheless, the fact remains that Bob Mould is the most 'productive' of the ex-huskers.

p.s. some of my fav Husker Du songs were written by Grant Hart!

18. amazing band
this is definitely one of the few bands(along with the Clash and the Sex Pistols) that still moves me.

Too bad that things had too end so early(and bitterly).

They hate each other no doubt.

Nevertheless, they made some fucking amazing music.

20. Great band...but I never saw them live either.
It looks unlikely, but then who thought we would ever see Pink Floyd on the same stage again 2 months ago?
