I've mixed Guinness and Root beer

11. I was in this Irish Pub for dinner with a couple of friends

Normally, and especially back then, I was not a beer drinker. But I thought, 'You're in an Irish Pub - you need to have Guiness.'

So I ordered one. I took a sip and was almost flattened by it. I grabbed my friend's root beer to use as a chaser. The combination sort of worked.

I ordered my own root beer. I put a straw in both glasses and drank them in unison. The bartender was horrified yet amused.

That is my Guinness story.

I was NEVER EVER much of a beer drinker until I met MisU..now I drink it regularly..she fears she's turning me into an alcoholic....and I HAVE had a drink every day this week...that almost NEVER happens!
