Without using ebay, how can I sell off my extra stuff?
I've got SHITLOADS of dvds, tech books, CDs, stereo, entertainment home movie setup, computer equipment. You name it.

Without using ebay, which would charge me so many idiot fees, I want to get rid of my excess stuff. To help pay bills and when the worst comes (my reserves end up depleted) the collectors have nothing to take.

My things are my life but I need to be more people-oriented; I have no choice.

Thanks!

6. there is the DU marketplace
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=213

i've bought and sold a couple of things from posts there. if you posted a bunch of dvds and cds you were selling there i know that i would check them out. dvds are one of the things i have bought from other DUers that posted in the marketplace.

overstock.com auctions do not charge as much for fees as ebay - of course they don't get the traffic either. i'm sorry to say that the easiest and most efficient way to sell your personal stuff online is ebay. i've tried numerous other venues but no place else brings the number of potential buyers and sales that ebay does.

there are ways to minimize your fees - start everything under $10, don't use added features, don't accept paypal, add a (reasonable) handling charge to shipping costs... but of course all those methods have drawbacks.

anyway - sorry to hear that you have to sell your stuff. i hope everything works out for you.
