finding a new lead singer for INXS. My focus is not on the group. My focus is enjoying the entertainment. And this group of singers is very entertaining. Why can't DUers ever just enjoy something even if it doesn't fit their perception of what the ideal should be? Sheesh. Gotta nit pick everything to death.

6. Pardon me.... for pissing on your show.
Shadenfreude is one of my guilty pleasures. Still think its a creepy thing, didn't mean to take away your pleasure. I would think after he killed himself or got killed or whatever they would just do other bands. Hutchenson was INXS to me and this seems a desperate move and basically a gimmick to make some money off obsession with a dead guy. JUST MY OPINION on a lite topic and no biggie.

4. Just like Devo, they sold out big time!
Baby seals and pot have nothing to do with it. I mean, if the good church-going people of white-washed America were to know how Michael Hutchence died, they'd have a fit!

Do NOT hinge on the imaginary integrity of rock bands and TV shows ...

On the Trajan Scale of cosmic, metaphysical significance; this rates a -2433276543.9876432 ....

My panties are not in a wad; they are comfortably resting along my thighs ...

9. I'm glad to hear it!
I was just a tad bored and poking about for an argument! :-)

I've personally not watched the show ... as a musician, I think the whole thing is an Orwellian perversion.

5. Reality tv sucks as a whole anyway
I don't watch much tv but I'll be very happy when it finally dies the death it deserves.

7. I liked some of the Surreal Life... Its a silly show and not at all in bad
taste. Put washed up stars in a house and film it. I loved Brigitte Neilson (TOTALLY DRUNK ALL THE TIME and its OK!) and Flava Flave (WHO IS AWESOMELY WIERD and HORNY)

to me that is theatre of the absurd..

This show will be like a Funeral/Audition/But for Money... ick

I don't particularly find a sad, alcoholic woman entertaining, you know? And Flav is just crreepy beyond belief. That's exactly how I saw them.

12. They should make sure the new one
doesn't have a thing for auto-erotic asphyxiation, if nothing else.

13. I Think The Show Is GREAT!!
I like that the singers ACTUALLY have talent!! (Unlike American Idol... a high-school talent show fares better than Idol.)

Obviously INXS is doing this as a promotional gimmick... and for the money they are getting paid for their effort... but on the plus side, the show is fast-paced and the band is pretty damn good too.

15. They said they don't want a Hutchenson look alike...
apparantly they want a whole new thing. which is fine and I guess the show is actually good per the people who have seen it.

16. I've been tempted to post this question myself
only I would have asked how twisted, sick, and/or lame it is. And how much do the contestants suck? Do they suck because it's twisted and sick and lame to have them vying for Michael's position and even singing his songs - which I thought they wouldn't do and was horrified to see that they did - or do they just suck? Are Dave Navarro and the band members lying when they tell the contestants they don't suck? I think they are. But then Michael Hutchence is my all-time-favorite singer.

18. Sorry, I disagree...its a great show!
There is some really awesome talent. Just because their lead singer died,it doesnt mean they have to dismantle the band...But I do agree at first I thought it was a little creepy to do, but the show is tastefully done. IMHO
