Don't drink the water in NYC - seriously
Just got a notice at work that the Dept. of Health and the EPA is issuing a notice that for the next 24 hours kids, elderly, pregnant women, and people with compromised immunity should use bottled or boiled water.

This is due to heavy rains that have affected the clorination process at Kensico Resovoir.

4. I used to live in the tropics and we did it all the time
it's not so bad, boil the water, wait for it to cool, then put it in the fridge.

8. Do you have a link for that?
I'd like to know if this real or not. (I don't have kids, but several of my coworkers do. I'd like to let them know if this is truly the case.)

No news of that sort on NY1 or the Times webpages...
