26. I always thought real crab was too expensive
I never even looked at it or considered buying it at the store.

Just bought a can for $3.00, which is cheaper than the fake stuff. I also figured out how to make wonton wrappers puffy and crispy.. Apparently the secret is to deep fry them in Crisco instead of vegetable oil. What would I do without the Internet?

29. If you ever read how they make imitation crab,
you'll never buy it again.

Just saying...

9. First of all...my apologies for the delay. I was actually off cooking
and entertaining my guests.

The stir fry was chicken (marinated in a korean stir fry marinade), broccoli, onion, mushroom and zuchini. MMMM.

Crab rangoon filling was cream cheese, crab (real), scallions, fresh garlic, fresh lemon, splash of worchester sauce. Double Mmmmmm.

12. Kind of lazy and buy the sauce, but I really like a brand of sauce.
I believe it's the House of Tsang brand. The classic stir fry sauce and the korean stir fry (slightly hotter) are both delicious.

24. Tonight I used two different flavors.
One to marinade the chicken and one for the veggie stir-fry. They were both yummy.

14. Of course! Come on over. Here are the directions:
Look at a map of the US. Pinpoint the center and start heading that way. I'll see you in Kansas City in approximately ________ hours?

16. Ahhhhh....sounds as if you
didn't see the town with the right people? In the words of Jerry Garcia - "Don't tell me this town ain't got no heart, you just gotta poke around."

Should you make it back, I'll certainly dust off the fryer and make another batch. Followed by a proper tour of the city/scene/night.

23. I travel a lot for work and those suburban hotel rooms with strip malls
really all start to look exactly the same. I guess if you travel a lot, there is some comfort in that for some people, but I always want to see the parts of a city that set it apart. I have to remind myself that I can't judge a city by their suburbs!

My gut instinct says you probably stayed in Overland Park. Just a guess.

Never the less, should you make it back, I'd be delighted to give you some pointers and/or a tour.
