I watched it and was like....is she kidding, with that ridiculous paint and weird sticking her chest out/writhing?

Alas, no.

I think it's pretty much similar to all the other writhing that passes as "women dancing" today--no more likely to get conservatives up in arms.

Plus, she's singing in spanish, and they don't unnerstand furriners.

I enjoy sensual stuff as much as the next gal but I found her vamping around in that video plain vulgar. To me it looked more like she was having a seizure or being electrocuted rather than being sexy.

I'd never call for a boycott or ban, I just choose not to watch it.

I remember when they wouldn't place certain Madonna videos on MTV because there was too much sex and I saw this one when I got home from work and flipped through the channels.

Well Shakira has been around for awhile but not quite made stardom like the other ditzy pop-girls like Brittney or Christina or Jessica. I guess Shakira wanted to do something radical to get our attention
