Here I am at age 15 -- how old are you now? This was taken 51 years ago.



Only sailors wore tattoos in those days, and pierces were for your ears only -- unless you were an African tribesman, I guess. I got my ears pierced at age 40 in a shopping mall!

So, I am exactly 44 years older than you -- depending on when your birthday is. How old is your mother? Are you close? What does she say or think about Suicide Girls? Is she worried about you?

I have a very sweet 37 year old daughter (and a 35 year old son). No tattoos on either of them -- Daughter has a doctor husband and two nice kids. She's a graduate of Lee College in L. A. and a master's degree at Brandeis University. She's also a lot more conservative than I am -- kinda interesting...

is in her early fifties. We're semi-close. As close as you can be to an emotionally unstable alcoholic. I wouldn't know what she thinks about SG, or really care. She's probably worried about me, she's my Mum, thats what they do. But, really, modeling half clothed isn't that big a deal. Especially not compared to some of my siblings. I don't have any tattoo's yet, but they're comin' eventually. If my Mum did find out and was worried, I'd sort of let her know she should be more worried about my younger sister. The one who hates her body and her looks (even though she looks like a 17 model) and has fought with eating disorders and self hatred , up to and including getting addicted to drugs to try and keep her 'weight' down. (Shes never weighed more than 125lbs). She uses sex to make her feel better about who she is and make her feel worthwhile, because it means someone finds her attractive. I have a pretty healthy sexuality and am pretty comfortable in who I am. I enjoy my body, it isn't perfect, but it isn't bad, I don't feel like I have anything to prove. I see titillating pictures as fun and interesting, and the SG site is a really good place for strong empowered women to strut their stuff. Most of those girls aren't Playboy-esque, and they still get tons of views and seem to have fun. Thats what I'm all up for. Maybe it's a bit of exhibitionism but it's harmless.

My older sisters (A lawyer and a director for a large company) are all about this kinda thing. They wouldn't do it themselves but they love it.

I wish could hug both you and your younger sister. Do you have any aunts who you could confide in? Sounds like your mother is so unstable that it hurts to be with her. My husband had an alcoholic father, but he was a "funny drunk." My husband wasn't able to bring friends home because his father was frequently passed out on the couch. He redeemed himself in the last seven years of his life -- gave up drinking and was more even tempered. He died at age 88.

Is your father in the picture at all? Do you have any aunts or uncle whom you like so you can touch base with them? I feel so sorry for your younger sister.
