So, it's Japanese and I usually let translation humor slide, especially when I consider, as in this instance, how my Japanese compares to their command of English. But, my brain got a pulled muscle trying to mentally pronounce "23th".

1. I love my translanglish souvenir from the New Orleans Worlds Fair
Actually, I found a bunch of them at the discount house they ran after the fair closed.

There were sealed glass tubs with a asian-lettered cigarette and a kitchen match inside.

They were all labeled: "The Emergency Is Broken".

My son also had one of those bump-and-go toys, a little Space Shuttle, that made noise and announcements. My favorite was "Blast Down!".

3. Oh, wow...
...I was living in New Orleans when the fair was there. Sorry I didn't look at the souviners more closely.

I'll never forget, "Journey into the eye of a hurricane!!!" which was the cheesiest ride I've ever been on. The overall artistic theme of the fair was nice, though. Wish I could've gotten one of the "World Of Water" kiosks for the garden when they auctioned them off.

6. The Fair was grand
I had a press pass (worked for Guide Newspaper Group) and lived there when I wasn't at work.
