How do you preserve a 4-leaf clover?
I've flattened it out and it is dry. What next?

1. Put it in the "Breakfast Club Soundtrack" album cover
and then put that in your Ronco Record Vault. :)

Honestly I have no idea, but I'm guessing that a plastic food preservation bag with all the air removed would be best.

2. Oh, you'll hate me for this . . .
I have a five-leaf clover, and I flattened it out between sheets of wax paper, then after it was dry but still lying on a sheet of wax paper, I painted it with clear acrylic binder to protect it and preserve the color. When the front side was dry, I peeled it up, and painted the other side. Now, it's sealed between a layer of clear acrylic (basically, plastic) on each side, and I keep it in a little plastic envelope.

3. Two sheets of wax paper
and iron it around the leaf. It will allow the wax around it to meld with its twin on the other side, keeping air out and preserving it. It won't last forever, but it will keep it for a long time. You can then place it in a very heavy book--a dictionary, for example. I know in the old days, the book used to be the bible, but I don't know how heavy they are anymore, they don't have the kind of weight they used to in the old days.

4. In my foggy memory, wax paper
Put it between 2 pieces of wax paper, press with iron? Not sure about the iron- maybe just iron around the edges? Once set, then trim the wax paper to the size you want and mount it in a frame or use it as a bookmark or whatever else you can imagine.
