I have officially crashed.
I am working until 8:00 tonight and I am soooo exhausted. I want to be like George Costanza and build a fort under my desk so I can :boring:

I am going to have to get used to working all day again. Do any of you have any solutions to beating the mid-day sleepies?

3. I had a job where I pretty much had to work from six a.m.
...until ten p.m., six days a week. I had a couch in my office, though, and I used to take a little siesta/riposo in the early afternoon, when the sun was high overhead. Saved my bacon, because those hours were pretty brutal.

The fort might not be such a bad idea!

5. Breakfast and lunch
Animal protein. Seriously. Watch out for the pastries, bagels, donuts, etc. That stuff will kill you. Think: chicken sandwich, stuff like that.

Keeps your blood sugar level and you won't get the drowsies.

Good luck.........................

6. Also, if at all possible, take a walk on a break.
Even five or ten minutes can revive energy.

9. I used to keep a pillow in my desk drawer.
And it's dark under there. Before I ever saw that Seinfeld episode.

12. I was having trouble with my back,
so I got into the habit of lying down under my desk to take a nap in the afternoon (I own the firm).

Someone forgot to tell a temp who walked in and saw my feet sticking out from under my desk. She started screaming, I jumped up, smacked my forehead on the desk, started bleeding and swearing, and, well, the temp ended up in tears while I stood there, dripping blood and apologizing for having frightened her.
