Thanks, so maybe it isn't just me. Get this, when I first came to Europe, there were (and still are) plenty of things I didn't "get." One day when we'd just started seeing one another, a male friend and I were in an outdoor restaurant; I was having a cigarette, and I noticed this guy staring at me. My friend comments, "Maybe he has a smoking fetish." To which I replied, "WTF? You've gotta be kidding! I've never heard of such a thing." Then my very European friend went on to explain that there's a market for almost everything conceiveable, and that, yes, there are folks who actually pay to watch other people smoke. I didn't know what to say, except, "Well, I'm down to 10 cigarettes a day, but if you know anyone who wants to pay to watch me smoke 'em, bring em on." No joke.
