8. um, well, should I admit this?

I'm hiding in my bedroom sucking down a glass of chardonnay as I type. The two year old is napping, the six and four year old are watching television, the eight and eleven year old are playing video games and the other four year old is watching the eight and eleven year old play video games. I'm killing their brain cells with radiant light and trying not to feel guilty. Okay, I don't feel guilty. They got to swim this morning.

Three are mine. Three belong to a friend who is out of town at a convention. Our little gang each took her kids for one day this week.

Can you believe it? LOL! Actually, it's not so bad if I can keep the two four year olds apart. They are like oil and water. The other four are fine. It's actually keeping my four year old and eight year old from fighting with one another.

11. Threw them in the pool for most of the morning.

Sat out on the deck and worked on my precinct list. Have to call the Dems who didn't vote last fall and ask them why the hell not. There will be no locking in rooms with pizza. New carpet. But in one hour I can toss the three oldest outside to go play with the neighborhood kids when they get home after school.
