State Dismisses Complaint Over JOHN316 License Plate
wonder if i could get a SATAN plate?

<snip>

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Vanity may be a sin, but a Christian message on vanity license plates is OK with the state of Washington.

The Department of Licensing on Tuesday dismissed a complaint against a vanity plate imprinted with "JOHN316."

"The plate is not offensive under our rules and was never in danger of being canceled," said Licensing Department Director Liz Luce said.

The plate refers to the verse in the New Testament that says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

A complaint about the plate was filed in April, and the department's vanity plate review committee called an early meeting to deal with it because of the public interest. The department did not identify the owner of the plate or the person who complained.

"This was just a routine, procedural review required by policy," Luce said.

3. Shit!
And you made me open the Bible, because I didn't know what the abbreviation MALAC stood for so I couldn't use the internet.

as a license plate. It's no different than folks who get license plates with band names, song titles, clever phrases, etc.

It's a vanity plate intended to make a statement about the vehicles owner. No big deal.

Maybe I'll get a John87 plate in response . . .

"Let him who is without sin among you cast the first stone."

4. I royally pissed off one of the Tag Agency women when I went...
..to get my tag (here in Florida).

Florida has an Anti-Abortion Tag with the statement "Choose Life" with little Kids all over it.
I asked the women: "I'd like one of the Tags that says "Choose Death"
She didn't appreciate the irony of it all...

7. The worst one I ever saw
Also in Florida, was "DUBYA". I got in front of them, and at the next red light they got to read all my anti-shrub bumperstickers.
