Anyone else seeing the Northern Lights tonight?

I just came home from a friend's house, and as I was walking to the house, I looked up, and in the north northwest sky, there's this field of light in the sky that kinda remained static, while waves would run across it continuously. I've seen pictures of the Northern Lights, and while this particular phenomenon I just saw wasn't very colorful, it still kinda looked like what you see in photographs. I wonder if anyone else saw it tonight, or if I was just seeing things.

PS: No, I am not drunk, nor stoned, so it's not that. :P

But the CME from a biggish flare (M8) is sweeping by the Earth right now. Aurorae are widespread.

3. Too bright out

Saw them all the time during winter though.

5. I've never seen them before tonight.

So I'm kinda wondering if what I'm seeing are actually the Northern Lights. Wish I had a digital camera on me so I could show everybody.

6. Look them up on google.

See what kind you have. The way they look varies widely - the one I saw looked like a big glowing wavy gray ribbon. They come in different colors too.

8. Yes, I saw them.

I am about forty-five miles south of you. They looked like rays or waves of white light, very bright compared to the rest of the sky.
