I'm listening to Robert Plant's new CD and it's fricking AMAZING!!!
I'll confess, I've been very disappointed with some of his past solo works - I hadn't bought any solo work of his after "Now & Zen" because at best it was average. (Mind you I did get all his work he did when Page/Plant did some stuff back in the late 90's).

I actually got to see Robert Plant in concert back when I was at the SXSW festival in Austin TX and he was still smokin' hot live! And his new band, the Strange Sensatation not only did an excellent job backing him up but amazed me with their rendition of several Led Zeppelin Classics such as Heartbreaker, Gallow Pole, Black Dog and shockingly Whole Lotta Love (I just so think Jimmy Page on that song with the amazing guitar solo that I would never expect Plant to do the song without Page)

But this Album is incredibly good with a smooth, groovy sound that I must admit has been great for an evening of housecleaning (don't ask - family coming to visit tomorrow).

Ok, so I'm a little biased because I am the biggest Plant fan out there, but it's a great album - highly recommended!

1. I remember seeing Plant several times in the 80's
He is amazing. That is for sure. I really liked his very early solo work and I am like you. After Now & Zen I sort of lost interest. I think I am going to break out some Zep too!

I actually haven't bought the CD yet but only because I haven't been near a store to buy it. However, I have Rhapsody service and I can stream it through there. I like Rhapsody, it's $9.95 a month and there is a vast record collection available for listening. If you want to download it's 79cents a song. I just found with other online music services you could download but you can't really listen to the full song.

To be honest, I don't do much downloading but I listen to a ton of stuff on Rhapsody

5. Thank you for posting this...
I was wondering if the new CD was worth picking up. Now I think I'll give it a shot. My Robert Plant claim to fame? I saw Led Zeppelin in their very first ever concert in the United States in 1969. R.P. was so-o-o-o-o-o sexy, we could hardly stand it.

6. Hell, 35 years later and he's still incredibly sexy...
...and I'm usually a gal for younger guys. But for Robert Plant I'd make an exception!

8. I've heard the first single off the new Plant album
And I'm not all that impressed. It's not really bad, but I just don't dig it. Maybe I'm expecting too much from the Zepplin days.
