He was elected mayor of St Paul as a democrat, mid term he became a rethug, because someone told him it would increase his chance of gaining state office (Governor of MN at the time). He did not count on Jesse Ventura.

A couple of years later, he gets a call from Dumya, and is hand picked to run for US Senate.

Gawds I miss Wellstone. He must be just spinning in his grave, with this damn lapdog in his seat.
