my fav part in bold
Q- Recently you did the covers concerts of the Beatles “White Album” to protest Bush and Blair's policies in Iraq. What are your thoughts about touring the U.S. in the months after this election?
A - Well, when I got here, there was still hope that Kerry might get in. Half the country -sighs- Actually, more than half of the world is mortally distressed that George W. Bush is back in power. We can't really believe it. Republicanism-It feeds on ignorance the way that mold feeds on the damp or flies feed on shit. You know, they feed on it and they breed on it. Even if you got rid of Bush, you've got to get rid of the causes of Bush. And it's not like Hitler and his gang, where he was the prime mover. He's the front man, but then there's the whole posse, which is so depressing. He's more of a symptom than a cause. And we thought Reagan was bad! (laughs)Reagan seems like Frank Sinatra compared to Bush.
