3. Is that a ham tower in a few of those pictures?
Even if it's not, it's kind of big for a residential neighborhood

7. That is a television station near us.
It is very tall, if it ever fell. :scared: It makes a roaring noise when the winds get high.

The storm has moved on already. The dry line is very strong right now so they develop and move rapidly along it.

5. I thought that looked vaguely familiar...
Are those pics taken out on Frankford out near the intersection of 4th Street. I used to wkr in the 7-11 at the intersection and my early morning customers would alert me to great cloud pics, so I could run outside with my camera. Got some fantastic blood red skies aroudn 5:00AM or so.

8. Nope, that is facing west towards University.
It is on the south side of Lubbock. Outside the Loop.

6. I miss Texas thunderstorms.
Edited on Tue May-10-05 08:49 PM by fleabert
yesterday we had thunder during the day, and you would think it was the second coming. There were four broadcast interruptions in one hour to tell me it was raining hard! big babies out here in California when it comes to thunderstorms! ;-)

10. When we were in San Diego, I would laugh at the Californians.
They got so worked up over a few claps of thunder and some pea size hail.

13. It's hilarious, but irritating...I was watching my programs!
(can you hear my accent with that one? my great grandma always calls her soaps 'her programs', LOL!)

14. yes, and I bet you get bugged about your accent I did when I was out there
My grandmother called her soaps "my stories", in the summer when she was watching us we had to go outside while her stories were on.
