2. Gotta have the salt ...
And it has to be the official margarita salt. :9 I like them frozen when I'm at the beach ... preferably a big pitcher of them. :hi:

20. "Up"--with 100% agave tequila, please.
Pico's Mex Mex pioneered the "top shelf" margarita in Houston. You get a martini-style glass & a cocktail shaker. The waiter pours the drink, but there's enough for another in the shaker--kind of like chocolate shakes in the old days.

Ten years ago today, Pico's made the "World's Largest Margarita" in a tank truck next to the party tent. Alas, some Parrotheads have since broken the record.

Pico's food is pretty good, too.

26. None of those are Margaritas. They are fascimile abominations.
Edited on Thu May-05-05 10:56 AM by Rabrrrrrr
Margaritas do not come "frozen" or "blended" and are not made with "Margarita Mix".

I was at a bar once and I asked for a Cuervo Margarita, and the bartender woman said "I can't do that".

I said, "What? You don't have Cuervo?"

She said, "No, we have Cuervo, but I can't make a Margarita with it."

I asked, "Why not? You have to make it with some kind of Tequila, so make mine with Cuervo, please."

"Our Margaritas come pre-made, already blended."

(feeling inside, "How awful"), so I asked, "Well, just make me one from scratch."

"We don't know how to do that."

:argh:
