3. I'm sorry, but there is no such thing. If he supports Bush, he supports

this fucking war - let him keep his $15.00 - I'll send $30.00 in it's place. What is he doing about all those men and women in the field who don't have adequate supplies/body armor? Is he sending them money, too? I seriously doubt it.

I'm sorry to sound so harsh, but one altruistic gesture on the part of a freeper doesn't make up for the fact that he voted for a war mongering, chicken hawk, awol coward of a man to run this country and hundreds of thousands of innocent lives were lost as a result. :rant:

I just hope that making that gesture opens him up to the idea that helping other people isn't such a bad thing to do after all. I'm a hopeless romantic, but I rather hope that he/she is beginning to see the light.

I'm sorry to sound so harsh - maybe I feel so strongly because this comes on the heels of the crap that was called a "press conference" and because it is the anniversary of the fall of Saigon and that war has been on my mind today.

I'm not a mean, hateful person (hell, most of my family voted for chimpy), but this just doesn't warm the cockles of my heart for some reason.

But at least he means well. Doesn't make up for the fact for everything he did I know, but still a donation is a donation. I think when it comes to cancer a lot of people can see eye to eye as a lot of us had had lost someone to cancer, in my case An Aunt an Uncle a Grandmother all succumbed to it and recently my Mom defeated cancer "whew". So I can see this guy having lost a love one to cancer.. sees someone is suffering from it have this feeling he/she should help out. In that I commend him.

However.... you're right.. it doesn't excuse the fact he did vote for Bush and because of that well.. etc. etc. I don't think I need to list them again.

So basically, nice gesture, but don't forget everything else he has stand and voted for.

I hope I made sense in writing that... I feel a bit light headed for some reason.

Of course it's a nice gesture but people, regardless of their politics, make nice gestures all the time. However, when it comes to making the decisions that affect the entire planet, the choice to vote for and support Bush is incomprehensible to me and I cannot condone it, regardless of whatever nice things a person may do on a day to day basis.

Blame the media, perhaps, but some Bush supporters are certain that Iraq will save lives. They're wrong in my opinion, but not monsters.

9. I appreciate your comments. And, as I have stated, I come from

a family of Republicans. I think I'm just riled up over this press conference and some other recent developments that I'm not feeling particularly warm toward any freepers at the moment.
