6. I didn't like the taste of fried lardbutt until they invented the special

7. I think
the Saulk polio vaccine became available 50 years ago this month. I remember this vividly, because my grandfather, a retired physician, made sure I was vaccinated as soon as possible. My neighbor, a three year old, had been hit by polio and would be wheelchair bound the rest of her life.
