Doctors vs. Guns
Anyone know if these stats are accurate? It came in email from a friend who works for the government, American Government that is :)

I'm posting her "FWD:FWD,fwd, fwd" here because I remember a study a few years ago in Australia that noted their death rate dropped when their doctors went on strike. :tinfoilhat:

2. Use that to point out how malpractice lawsuits are not
bullshit - that will cause your right-wing-nut's head to explode.

compared to how many saved by guns.

4. People are usually sick before they see the doctor...
They don't usually have holes in them before they get shot...

6. I think the highest stats are from hospital mistakes rather than doctors
in particular. I heard a report on NPR that said survival rates in hospitals correlate very closely to the numbers of nursing staff. Other problems relate to inadequate cleaning measures. They even spoke about doctors who didn't was their hands before surgery, which struck me as outrageous and I can't believe it is very common.

Health care in this country is a disaster. How long before the Republicans figure out they can't keep obstructing attempts to fix the health care system?
