that includes closets and dresser drawers. I don't know why that is but it is something that really annoys me.

What things must you guys do before going to bed? And please keep it clean kids, lets not get this thread locked...ok

3. Put on PJs?
I can't sleep in anything that's restricting, must be loose, baggy PJs. :)

4. me too.
esp. doors

this comes from a fire safety presentation in elementary school, they told us it could save our lives since the smoke would probably wake us up before the fire got thru the door. I always keep a towel in the bedroom too, to open the door if it isn't hot yet (the doorknob will heat up before the fire reaches the doorway, or to stuff over the crack at the floor to stem the smoke and get out a window.

my dh thinks I am obsessed with fire. I also have a 'save my pets' sticker on both entrances to the house.

6. Touch of OCD? Indeed
Absolutely no light, I check and re-check the blinds on my windows. Probably should have bought shades instead. Two pillow minimum, have extras on hand. No shirt, not a pretty site.

8. Triple check all the locks on the windows and the doors
Put on my eyemask(daytime sleeper), throw on one of my Packers tshirts, turn on the fan(even in the winter-works like white noise for me), make sure that the cordless phone is on the pillow next to me(in case my daughter's preschool calls for me) and then try to get three hours straight of uninterrupted sleep. You'd really be surprised at how hard that is.

Oh, I forgot-make sure the "Day Sleeper" sign is on my front door.

9. Turn out the lights.
I can't stand to have any lamps or lights on when I sleep. If they are on, I may sleep, but I'll get no real rest. Plus I have to be sure the doors leading outside are locked.
