Help me with these riddles:
General Gasslefield, accused of high treason, is sentenced to death by the court-martial. He is allowed to make a final statement, after which he will be shot if the statement is false or will be hung if the statement is true. Gasslefield makes his final statement and is released. What did he say?

Late one evening, a man and his wife were driving their car down a country road. The car spun off the road and hit a tree. The man decided to seek help at a garage a few miles away. He made sure nobody was in the car, rolled all the windows up, and locked all of the doors. When he returned, his wife was dead, and there someone in the car he had never seen before. No physical damage was done to the car, it was still locked. The woman had not let anyone into the car, and she had not gotten out of the car. How did the woman die? Where did the stranger come from?

I can run but not walk. Wherever I go, thought follows close behind. What am I?

"You are going to shoot me."

If he is right then the statement is true and he must be hanged, making him wrong which means that he must be shot, making him correct so he must be hung, making him wrong so ......

The only way out of the dilemna is to drown him or let him go and since there was no water handy...
