It's always better to search for the "better" job, while you are employed.. As long as they did not make you sign a loyalty oath with your blood:evilgrin:
... in this crappy economy, you gotta take what you can get.
Just make sure you donate as much as you can to your fave candidates/organizations and take great pleasure in knowing that the $ you're donating came from AOL.
Get that place straightened out. I want a big settlement.

17. I use to work for CNN in the Internet NOC as a Unix sysadmin
Good luck man.
I have no idea how AOL proper is. Where are you at? I live in Northern VA now. I am up around South Riding and I work for the real devil. THE MILITARY/INDUSTRIAL complex. BAE Systems NA in their Business Solutions Group. No weapons just computerized paper processing.
Congratulations and remember this isn't forever. We've all been there. Bills have to be paid. It sucks to the nth degree but you will move past this eventually. Good luck to you!
P.S. Some of the posts in this thread almost made me pee in my pants.
20. Hell,in Chimpboys economy I might be hauling trash....
I'm not sure whats worse with these idiots in office--being self-employed or being layed off. Neither one is paying very well these days. I don't even want to know what its going to be like this winter.
a pay check is a good thing. I use aol, I almost hate to admit it since everyone seems to hate it but I have always been quite happy with it. Never a problem. Have tried others but always come back to it. I guess if I knew more about computers I might be happier elsewhere but the ease it offers makes me not want to give it up.
