Drunk 14-year-old drives car

An Ionia County woman is in trouble for letting her 14-year-old intoxicated nephew drive her car.

The 44-year-old Sheridan resident was arrested recently after a deputy approached her car that was parked on the shoulder on M-66.

The deputy says the boy was in the driver's seat, the woman was asleep on the passenger side, and three other teens were in the back seat of the vehicle.

Police say the woman, who was also intoxicated, let her nephew drive to a gas station, but the car ran out of gas before they got there.

I'm sure she's a member of the party of family 'values.'
