3. Here we go

CTU made a deal with Barooz's mom to try a scheme to go get Marwan.

They found out that there was this college Prof who had a connection to him

They used a cover story that Jack was transporting her and they captured them both and went to this guy to take Jack to Marwan.

They were being followed by CTU, but there was a switcheroo and the Prof blew himself up.

Jack was captured and CTU lost them.

Marwan told Mom that she had to prove her loyalty by shooting Jack in the head. But she pointed the gun at Marwan instead and pulled the trigger.

The gun was empty.

Then that's when they shot her and took Jack away.
