I think I'm going to break down and cry...
The hail storm that just passed through here destroyed my porch. Seriously. A couple of weekends ago I spent a sizable chunk of change putting together the porch on my apartment. Lots of flowers. It was gorgeous. I've been sitting out on it of a morning as I eat breakfast and after dinner to watch the sunset and just enjoying the heck out of it. And now it's gone. The hail just destroyed most of the flowers. And my favorite windchime is just completely gone.

there's almost nothing left to put back in. I had 4 hanging baskets and they were completely devestated. There's nothing left in a couple of them. The pretty little geraniums I had in pots...gone. Gonna have to wait until payday to replace any of it. *sigh*

11. Some gardeners pinch their transplants way back, saying it makes
the plants stronger for the long haul. I pinch mine back a bit, but I can never bring myself to be really ruthless about. I yours will come back twice as strong after being given a good trim by Mother Nature.

15. ahh, I know just how your feel
I had planted a garden and knew nothing of what I was doing. It grew and grew and I had pumpkins and melons each day inching closer to the house and corn 6 feet high. I didn't know about pruning, etc., but I just loved walking out there every morning. A hail storm came through and I remember how angry I felt that five minutes ruined all of it. I had to stop myself from running out there to try to stop it. But, either you can replace it, or see what happens from the ruins. You might be surprised at how resilient nature can be. I don't now. The windchime is gone, but maybe listen for the birds. I had a neighbor who was 45 years old before she got a hearing aide. She marveled at the birds. After that, I have learned to appreciate their singing.
