1. Near the bottom. Over-blown and untrue to their Mod roots >
for all its posturing.

Might have made a decent single album, absent the "opera" ambitions.

7. Mod Roots were long gone by then. Great "Rock" album...
I'm waiting for the MCA Deluxe Edition to come out before I get it on CD.

2. One of their best
Townshend's greatest power chord of all may be the one that comes at the end of the "I don't suppose you would remember me, but I used to follow you back in 63" line in "Bell Boy"...it's fat, it's resonant, it's angry.

"The Real Me" may be one of the best examples of The Who's ensemble playing...Entwistle, in particular, shines like a mother on this one.

Some people like it, some people don't. C'est la vie.

4. I have it but haven't listened to it for about 18 years
I think I liked the movie when I was young but apparently I can take or leave this one.

10. 3rd after "Who's Next" and the "Who Sell Out"
"Quadrophenia" is a terrific album. Only an uneven mix on Daltrey's vocals and some weak songs keep it from being a classic.

The Who never rocked harder then they did on "The Real Me" "5:15" "The Punk Meets The Godfather" and "Had Enough."
