You need a dog
And I have just the dog for you.

His name is Teddy and he's an 8-month old Australiam Cattle Dog, AKA blue heeler. We're fostering him until he finds his forever home.

He's a great dog, full of energy and would be great at herding, agility, frisbee, probably flyball, you name it. He gets along well with our other dogs, is housebroken, neutered and up to date on his shots.

Being a cattle dog he has a ton of energy so he needs a fenced in yard where he can run until he drops. Remember, a tired cattle dog is a good cattle dog.

Cattle dogs are very intelligent. Stanley Coren in his book The Intelligence of Dogs ranked cattle dogs in the top ten for trainability, right up there with Border Collies, Labrador Retrievers, and German Shepherds.

If anyone is interested, contact me privately and I'll put you in touch with the rescue agency.

2. Has the rescue agency listed him on Petfinder.com?
He'll have a better chance of being adopted.

12. No, they haven't. I'm waiting for them to allow me to do their webpage
Their webpage is terribly out of date. I voluntered to keep it updated and I plan on linking to petfinder. I have to wait until they have a board meeting and agree to let me do it.

I knew there was a reason I was here. Well, other than being a smartass whenever I can be.

9. I have a cat who just might be his match
I think she tore off my border collie's leg and beat him senseless with it the last time he tried to eat her. Now they get along just swell and even take naps together.

If you're wondering, she's half calico, half potbellied ninja calico pig.

13. I don't know if he would eat your cat but my other dogs would
They think cats are live-action squeak toys. Thank God all the neighborhood cats stay out of the yard when the dogs are out.
