What are YOU looking forward to?
There has been a lot of shit happening- bad shit.
I'm trying to keep my chin up and think of all the positive things in my life, what I'm looking forward to. Things that will make me happy.
A lot of people on DU have gone through some rough times. And, sometimes, it can seem overwhelming. I've lost the best thing in my life, someone who made me happy no matter what the world was like outside. Losing that can be tough. But my problems are pale and selfish in comparison to what's going on outside.
So what are we looking forward to? What's going to make you happy?
I'm looking forward to:

-The U2 concert in May
-baseball season
-next month's DU meetup
-(long term goal) getting into Teach for America

12. to tell you the absolute truth, i grew up a yankees fan in the buffalo
area, but stopped watching baseball after mattingly retired. i watched through my formative years during all the shit years of andy hawking, mel hall, kevin maas, et al. was so disillusioned after the strike that i didn't start watching until i moved to Boston again on 9/11 (yes, that day), and have been a rabid sox fan ever since :D also, used to be a huge U2 fan up until the middle of college, when i reversed course because i grew very tired of their music/lyrics/stage presence (not to say that there's anything wrong with you for liking it). anyway, i still enjoy taunting yankees/U2 fans, but i can try and make an exception for you :D

7. Full recovery, hopefully getting a boyfriend, thinking of a new stable job
I think my job is stable, but it's impossible to say anymore.

A boyfriend is likely impossible, but I've hoped all my life. Why stop now, that's too rational...

Full recovery. It probably won't happen so I may as well be optimistic that it will.

24. Moving. Moving. Moving. Moving.
Oh, did I say, moving?

I had hoped to be out by the 1st of April, but a week of tummy problems that went through the household slowed everything down. There was one place I looked at that has availability in May if I can't find anything I like better. The only thing that is sucking more than the irritating process of finding a new place to live is still living under the same roof with someone I no longer want to be living with. At least he has a business trip in a couple weeks. Party at Sarah's. :P
