GOP Congress furious over Addie Bundren's family allowing her death.

Word is, Tom Delay and his toadies are going to introduce a bill that will order the exhumation of William Faulkner. Falkner will then be subpoenaed by Congress to testify in Washington. If Faulkner cannot justify pulling the plug on Addie Bundren so early in As I Lay Dying, he will be ordered to re-write the novel as a neo-Christian morality tale.

Tom Delay will allow Faulkner to include Vardaman Bundren's "My mother is a fish" riff, but only as it relates to Christian symbolism and only if it is done in the Left Behind literary style of LaHaye and Jenkins. If Faulkner can't produce, Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins will do a total re-write of a number of Faulkner's novels.

Meanwhile, Congressional investigators are following Tom Delay's lead in questioning why former-President Ronald Reagan is not still alive on extraordinary life support measures. "This goes to the very heart of President Bu$h's reverence for the sanctity of life," Delay was heard saying. "Barbara Bu$h herself would have died years ago - in fact she did, but that's another story - but for her total internal bionic makeover. They couldn't do much for her face, though."
