saw it a couple of weeks ago...one of the best movies i've seen in awhile

4. Is it something a 7 year old could see?

My 7 year old daughter is into soccer and martial arts -- but she's also a pretty sensitive little person.

I see it's rated PG-13 which makes me think it's not a good prospect.

If the violence is all over the top special effects stuff it might work but if there's anything that looks like real violence or pain, it probably wouldn't work.

5. It's mostly very cartoonish.

My 6 and 4 year old boys saw it and liked it. There is one or two scenes that are briefly violent, but the context is still somewhat cartoonish. You might want to watch it once to see if you think it's okay. Personally, it didn't bother me...

My 7 year old is half jock, half princess, and it's hard to know which she'll be during a movie.

But the preview looked freaking great.

6. mostly just fantasy violence

nothing like real blood or hits or anything; a lot of slapstick humor. you see a guy's naked butt too.
