@#!%^*! Snow...AGAIN!
:grr:

Winter storm warning has been extended until 10 PM. Looks like we may break records for snowfall in March, and challenge the record for 2nd snowiest winter ever.

:grr: :cry: :wtf::grr: :cry: :wtf::grr: :cry: :wtf::grr: :cry: :wtf::grr: :cry: :wtf::grr: :cry: :wtf::grr: :cry: :wtf::grr: :cry: :wtf::grr: :cry: :wtf::grr: :cry: :wtf::grr: :cry: :wtf::grr: :cry: :wtf::grr: :cry: :wtf::grr: :cry: :wtf::grr: :cry: :wtf::grr: :cry: :wtf::grr: :cry: :wtf::grr: :cry: :wtf::grr: :cry: :wtf:

2. Not to rub it in, but Connecticut got off easy.
When I got off the air at 5:00 a.m, it was just beginning to snow. By the time I woke up an hour ago, it had stopped, with only a few inches having fallen.

Sorry you guys up north got hit so damned hard, but I'm breathing a sigh of relief down here! :pals:

3. how many inches?
Here on the other side of Mass, things are pretty ass-tacular. There were mild predictions of some overnight snow ending with 2-4 inches, but it's been snowing all day and we're probably around 6 inches now. It does look like the system's on it's way out, but it sure is moving slowly.

I can't stand it anymore!

5. I know this is going to sound strange, ..but...
...ok....here goes...At least it's the week end!!!!! No, No, please don't pummel me!

I drive 46 miles in each direction, from the North Shore, ON RTE 128, to and from work Monday through Friday. Do you have any idea how badly that major state highway is cleaned during snowstorms? Generally, the northern section from the Pike up, and particularly north of Burlington, the highway department ignores the road until the southern part of the road is flake free.

This is a temp job, only since Thanksgiving week. I can just barely articulate how much FUN this winter has been!!!!!

AAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHH :nuke:

Ok, Whine over....FOR NOW!!!!

19. The road is still, generally, a cow path.
Sure, for about 25 miles it is 4 lanes, but the rest is either 3 lanes, or, north of "the cloverleaf" at Rte. 93, it is still only 2 lanes in each direction.

The on ramps are dangerous as hell, particularly in the sections where it is legal to travel in the breakdown lanes.

The road was definitely left behind during the "Massachusetts Miracle"!

8. 128 sucks in the good weather. I spun out there once in rain
so it must be a living hell in snow and ice.

I would rather have snow on weekends too. i hate the commute in bad weather. and Massholes still drive like aggressive assholes in snow and sleet. :grr:

20. OMG!!!! Massholes EVERYWHERE!
I'm on the road at 6:00 every morning, and it is usually still completely unplowed in my neck of the woods.

I am traveling at 40MPH, and thinking I really should slow down, when a jerk in a car just like mine....ie: a sedan, not a 4 wheel drive SUV,...goes tooling by me at 60 or more. I keep thinking "You moran! (yes, I even think that word now) You are going to be the one who holds things up down the road when you have to be taken off the guard rail." Happens 4 or 5 times a trip...and that is in the first 12-20 miles!

21. I have driven it
on and off for about 12 years. Sometimes just for a few miles, others for 20 or 25 miles. This is horrible, though. Of the 46 miles, 40 are 128. The nerves of steel are quickly becoming a mass of quivering Jello. It will get better, though, when this endless winter finally stops furnishing so much fun.

Please, someone tell me that will be BEFORE JUNE!!!!!

9. Yep! All Day! Snow... will it ever stop?
I'm in Vermont. It's powder -- great for the ski resorts!
This will be the 2nd foot of snow this week.
I just made raisin bread in my bread maker. The house smells terrific. I'm getting paperwork done.

But.... I am soooo over winter. Please... tell me the sun will shine again someday.

makes it tough. The Big Dig...don't get me started. I hope it's finished in my lifetime.

13. We love to bitch about the weather up here but
I wouldn't live anywhere else in the country. It's great in New England. We have had a very tough winter, which is very unusual. Only two winters in the last 100+ years were worse!

but i agree. i love the northeast. north west my favorite. stuck in texas, but with this beautiful spring day, i am not going to gripe too much about texas

14. well, its almost 5pm, the sun is out (SE CT),
I went outside to see what snow from last night needed to be shovelled and discovered that most of the driveway(my view from the window of the complete driveway is blocked behind a hill)was clear and that only a few random snowdrifts (which turned to slush by today)had to be removed. I havent had a chance to check local weather so I don't know what is in store for tonight.

17. Right now, my car is blocked in by some small bushes/trees that
have leaned alllllll the way over due to the weight of the snow. I've never seen that before, it's gotta be some sticky shit!

But I'm still gonna shovel out and go pick up a hot curry, eventually...

23. Yeah, this totally sucks, doesn't it!
I suppose I'd rather have it on the weekend than during the week when I have to drive to work. Though I am pissed about some plans being cancelled; well they're actually just postponed to tomorrow, so that's not too bad.

Man, I hope we don't get snow for our DU gathering next week. Which day is it? Is it the 19th? People's Republik?

25. we've got a foot already and it's still snowing ...
Edited on Sat Mar-12-05 08:17 PM by welshTerrier2
my stupid satellite signal has been out most of the day ...

i just love to hear all the whining about the snow ... i love it ... the more the merrier ... bring it on !!!

mrs. wt2 said it was mostly bare ground in Boston ... she said it piled up pretty fast as she drove west ...

winter is NOT for wimps !!!

on edit: so i wanted to watch the Syracuse-W. Virginia Big East Finals ... went out to my deck and started throwing snowballs at my satellite dish ... it's attached to the chimney ... it's probably about a 40 foot throw ... unbelievable ... first snowball ... dead center ... cleared off all the snow ... mrs. wt2 was on the cell phone ... "you got it !!!" ... that's it ... they took me out of the game ... one batter, one strike out ... not bad ...
