Poll question: Do you say/write Chaise Lounge or Chaise Longue?
I've always said and written Chaise Longue, but the "lounge" variant seems to be catching on. Which do you use?

8. Well, I would hope not - but that's how it was spelled
Edited on Fri Mar-11-05 06:33 PM by Rabrrrrrr
Looked like "lon-goo". Or maybe "lon-gway".

But I imagine you were offering the proper French spelling? I don't speak French so I don't know. I took the spellings you offered as phonetic transliterations, like they do in dictionaries.

11. heheh
yes, it's French. As far as I know, the words "longue" and "Lounge" aren't significantly related. The fact that people lounge on a longue is what's caused the confusion.
