8. I'm liking Rama II - it doesn't have the tightness in writing of Rama

and seems to be lacking a little of pizazz like the other one (it's almost - and not, I say "almost" meaning "not quite" - reading more like a Star Trek novel than a serious science fiction one), but the story is so far pretty cool and it's definitely a good read.

AFter forgetting the eggs on the stove for 1/2, I left the noodles cooking for 1 1/2 hrs (chickens will be happy tomorrow IF I remember to give them to them) and I am tired and grouchy and forgetful and want to go to bed and it's not menses just wtf and spaciness and the lymph nodes in the back of my neck hurt and it's all my fault for I don't know what except my teenager would probably be happy to tell me. So, sorry you guys are pissy too tonight. New moon tonight too.

On edit, I forgot the funny thing. The afore mentioned teenager wants me to let him participate in breathing fire. hahahahahahaha

9. The whole Rama series is sublime.

You can definitely see the influence of Gentry Lee (not Geddy Lee, as I almost wrote)...

But what a wonderful piece of SF writing it is. Lots of great technology, really human characters that you can totally get into.

This is the short story "Cyberpunk" by Bruch Bethke. This is almost certainly the first time the word cyberpunk was ever seen.
The novella is alright but a little sophomoric perhaps.
