2. This is your life?
It would be a dark comedy. You'd have to be able to laugh while reading it otherwise you'll probably want to slash your wrists.

9. "Naked Came I"
Actually that's the name of Opus' "autobiography" after Milo gets a hold of it to spice it up (Bloom County cartoon).

Opus (reading his "autobiography"): Excuse me, but I never shot Warren Beatty in the buttocks in 72.
Milo: Must be a typo.

10. "Rise From the Ashes"
Edited on Thu Mar-10-05 10:39 AM by fudge stripe cookays
With a quote from Rosanne Cash's song at the beginning. That song has gotten me through some tough times (and Bruce Cockburn plays guitar on it, so it makes me happy).

Haven't figured out which particular part yet, but it's from here....

I don't have to carry this load alone
Someday I'll stop crying, and it won't be long
My eyes to the distance, baby
My hands on the wheel
And I'm gonna rise from the ashes
That's how I feel, I feel
I'm gonna rise from the ashes

I feel inspiration when all may be lost
I claim resurrection no matter the cost
My moment of waking, darlin'
Is so close at hand
And I'm gonna rise from the ashes
I know I can, I can
I'm gonna rise from the ashes

Just give me one more moment
Just give me one more night
I'll be alright
You know I will
I will

I hold onto faith inside my fear
I know someone hears
me when no one is near
My heart is my compass
My soul is my guide
And I'm gonna rise from the ashes
Be alive, so alive
I'm gonna rise from the ashes

14. Love that Song
but I think I would have to take my autobiography from her "Interiors" CD. That dark, depressing, betrayed, highly introspective thing would seem to be a better fit these days.

18. "If It Weren't For Bad Luck, I Wouldn't HAVE Any Luck"
that about sums it up.

that or "Victim of Circumstance"

can't do that one, though, because I am already in the process of writing a book titled "Victim of Circumstance" and it is a fictional treatment of a real-life event in my life, but it takes a screaming left turn into unreality early in the book, and follows the path of my darkest fears of the outcome of that event, rather than the actual outcome. except that is does have a happy ending, because, in the end, our hero, the Victim of Circumstance, basically sticks it to every last bastard that tried to screw her over!

20. A Beer, A Mop, And A Baby
If you knew me it would be hilarious. No one who knew me 8 years ago would figure I now actually mop my own floors and I am a mother....not a party child. Who knew? I certainly didn't. They say that the best humor that we know comes from hindsight. When we can learn to laugh about it. Hey I have been there.
