I need help from any dog people out there.
My doggie was fine yesterday afternoon, but last night I noticed he had these bumps all over his head & the back of his ears. He does not seem to be in any pain or sick in any way, but the bumps seem to itch.
Any ideas what it might be. I figure if they are not better this afternoon I'll take him to the vet.

1. Was he outside yesterday? Could he have gotten into something...
...like poison ivy, etc? Of course, the vet is the best bet for getting to the bottom of this. Hope he's feeling better soon!

2. He just ran around our back yard like he does everyday.
That was my first thought as well, but nothing growing yet.

3. Get thee to a vet
Sounds like demodex, but that shouldn't pop up quite that quickly in such a large area.

Skin allergy? Again, seems to quick to sprout up like that.

4. It could be chiggers
That's the only thing I can think of that would cause this so quickly. A vet visit is needed to get the right stuff to help.

5. Go to a vet. Dogs can be bitten by spiders and those 'lumps' can
become pus-filled. I had a dog bitten by a brown recluse, a single bite, and the lump erupted. I thought the dog had been stabbed in the chest. Took three days of hospitalization and massive amounts of antibiotics to save her. Then the muscle became rock hard and black for a couple of weeks before clearing.
